ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಅ.10: ಮೀನುಗಾರಿಕಾ ಬೋಟ್ ಗೆ ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ತಗಲಿದ ಘಟನೆ ದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರ್ ಬಳಿ ಇಂದು ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಇಂದು ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ಸುಮಾರು 5 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಈ ಘಟನೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇತರೆ ಬೋಟ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹರಡುವುದನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಲಂಗರು ಹಾಕಿದ್ದ ದೋಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಡೀಸೆಲ್‌ಗೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹೊತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಹಗ್ಗ ಬಿಚ್ಚಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೋಣಿ ಕೆಲವು ದೂರ ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಇತರ ದೋಣಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ತಗುಲುವುದು ತಪ್ಪಿದೆ' ಎಂದು ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪಾಂಡೇಶ್ವರ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳ ಹಾಗೂ ಕದ್ರಿ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Mangalore Fishing boat catches fire at old port in Bunder, big Accident averted. The boat was anchored at the port. As soon as fire erupted, its rope was loosened and the boat was let free to float. This prevented the fire from spreading to other anchored boats.”
