ಅಹ್ಮದ್ ಪಟೇಲ್ ಅವರು ಕೋವಿಡ್-19 ಸೋಂಕಿನ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಧನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ನವದೆಹಲಿ, ನ.25: ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಹಿರಿಯ ಮುಖಂಡ, ಸೋನಿಯಾ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಆಪ್ತರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಹ್ಮದ್ ಪಟೇಲ್ ಅವರು ಕೋವಿಡ್-19 ಸೋಂಕಿನಿಂದ ನಿಧನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅವರಿಗೆ 71 ವರ್ಷ ವಯಸ್ಸಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಟ್ರಬಲ್ ಶೂಟರ್ ಎಂದೇ ಹೆಸರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಹ್ಮದ್ ಪಟೇಲ್, ಬಹು ಅಂಗಾಂಗ ವೈಫಲ್ಯದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಬುಧವಾರ ನಸುಕಿನ 3:30 ರ ಸುಮಾರಿಗೆ ಕೊನೆಯುಸಿರೆಳೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 1 ರಂದು ಅಹ್ಮದ್ ಪಟೇಲ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೋವಿಡ್-19 ಸೋಂಕು ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಬಳಿಕ ಅವರನ್ನು ಗುರ್ ಗಾಂವ್ ನ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಫಲಿಸದೆ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ.

ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯ ಸಾವನ್ನು ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರ ಫೈಸಲ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಟ್ವಿಟರ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಖಜಾಂಚಿ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ಪಟೇಲ್, ರಾಜ್ಯಸಭಾ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ, ಎಐಸಿಸಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಸೋನಿಯಾ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದರು. ಗುಜರಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಭಾವೀ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ನಾಯಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಹೈಕಮಾಂಡ್ ಬಳಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಹ್ಮದ್ ಪಟೇಲ್ ಪ್ರಭಾವಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೋನಿಯಾ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿಗೆ ಸಲಹೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಾ ತುಂಬ ಆಪ್ತರಾಗಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

It is a sad day. Shri Ahmed Patel was a pillar of the Congress party. He lived and breathed Congress and stood with the party through its most difficult times. He was a tremendous asset.
